Men's Tennis Newest Member Set to Play at Battle in the Bay

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The newest member of the Santa Clara men's tennis squad, Matt Kecki, is set to make his Bronco debut this weekend at the Battle in the Bay Classic in San Francisco, Calif. 

Kecki, a redshirt senior, is continuing his tennis career at Santa Clara after graduating from the University of Southern California. The newest Bronco was on two Trojan teams that won the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship. Already holding a degree in business, Kecki will work on his Master's in Business Administration.

Kecki will begin the Battle in the Bay on Fri., Oct. 12. He will be the lone Bronco to represent Santa Clara in the tournament. 

The Battle of the Bay was started in 2009 by USF men's tennis coach Peter Bartlett, his assistant Pablo Pires de Almeida and the California Club Director of Tennis, Steve Jackson.
