Lamble Wins Semifinal at ITA Regional, Will Play in Finals Wednesday

MORAGA, Calif. - After rain delayed the final day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Regional, Santa Clara's John Lamble remains in the hunt for the ITA Regional tournament title. Lamble won his semifinal bout and is scheduled to compete in the finals Wed., Oct. 24.   

In a rain-delayed semifinal, Lamble bested Stanford freshman Nolan Paige 7-5, 6-3 to earn a spot in the finals. 

Lamble, the No. 3 seed in the tournament, will play Cal's Ben McLachlan Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. McLachlan is the No. 2 seeded player in the tournament. 

The final features two of the country's top ranked singles players. Lamble is currently ranked as the nation's No. 40 ranked singles player. McLachlan is currently No. 16.
