FLUSHING, N.Y. - After dropping his first round bout, standout junior John Lamble fell in the consolation round at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Indoor Championships.

Lamble - a junior from Saratoga, Calif. - was unable to fend off Vanderbilt's Ryan Lipman who bested Lamble 6-4, 7-5. In his first match of the tournament, Lamble battled No. 50 Leandro Toledo from the University of Minnesota. He is now 5-5 on the season with four of his losses coming at the hand of nationally ranked players.

The Santa Clara junior was the first player in Bronco history ever to receive main draw bids to the ITA All-American and ITA Indoor Championships. Additionally, ranked No. 40 nationally, his preseason national singles ranking was a program high.
