SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis had three student-athletes recognized by the West Coast Conference on Wednesday as the league announced the 2016-17 WCC All-Academic honorees. Sophomore Robert Seby was one of 12 student-athletes named to the WCC All-Academic Team. Sophomores Connor Garnett and Kamran Khan earned honorable mention distinction.
Seby boasted a singles record of 9-9 (9-8 on court one, 0-1 on court two) in dual match play on the year. He was also named to the All-WCC Singles Second Team. Seby is a biology major with a 3.748 GPA.
Garnett and Khan are both business majors and Garnett boasts a 3.405 GPA while Khan is at 3.266.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to his team.
