Men’s Tennis Concludes Play At ITA Northwest Regional Championships

STOCKTON, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis concluded play at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships after a successful run into the round of 16 by Connor Garnett in open singles draw and two others making it into the round of 32.  
 
After winning three matches over Thursday and Friday to advance to the round of 16 in the 128 player singles draw, Garnett's run ended against number 12 seed Paul Barretto of Cal, 6-0, 6-3 on Saturday.  
 
Jesus Tapias Barajas and Kamran Khan had a strong showing in the tournament winning a pair of singles matches on Thursday to advance to the round of 32.  
 
On Saturday, Sebastien Mathieu picked up a win for the Broncos winning in the third round of the consolation bracket before losing in the next round.

The Broncos will return to Stockton on Oct.27-29 when it plays in the Pacific Tiger Invitational to conclude its fall season.
