Men’s Tennis Conclude Pacific Invitational With Two Runner-Up Finishes

STOCKTON, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis placed two finalists at the Pacific Tigers Invitational to conclude its fall season on Sunday.  For the tournament, the Broncos racked up 20 wins over three days.  
 
The Broncos doubles team of Connor Garnett and Kamran Khan lost to the number one doubles seed, Mikus Losbergs and Kasparas Zemaitelis of Sacramento State, 8-3, in the open doubles bracket.  And Sebastien Mathieu fell 7-5, 6-1, to Cal Poly's Daly Meinert in the singles consolation bracket.
 
Santa Clara finished the Pacific Tigers Invitational with a 21-10 record over the three day tournament going 12-2 in day one, 8-6 in day two and 1-2 on the final day on Sunday.  
 
The Garnett/Khan duo won four matches in the 32-team open doubles bracket to make it all the way to the finals.  
 
Mathieu's singles play in the consolation bracket accounted for four Bronco wins en route to finishing runner-up.

Santa Clara will turn its sights on prepping for the spring season which starts on January 20-21 when it travels to West Point, New York to play Yale, Army and Florida Atlantic.
