SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off a strong showing at the ITA Fall Northwest Regional Championships in Seattle two weekends ago, the Santa Clara men's tennis will look to carry that momentum into the final tournament of the fall season at the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational this weekend.

The tournament hosted by Saint Mary's runs Friday through Sunday at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on the SMC campus in Moraga, California with the following schools participating: Cal, Stanford, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC Davis, Sac State, Holy Names, Sonoma State, Pacific, Cal Poly, Fresno State, and Saint Mary's.

"We are looking to build on some of the successes from the regionals.  We want to continue to improve in doubles as we've made that a cornerstone of our fall season.  And for the seniors, I'm looking for them to push towards the deep end of the tournament," said Broncos head coach Niall Angus.

At the ITA Fall Northwest Regionals, the Broncos racked up 23 total victories including 14 in the main draw with senior Andrew Gu advancing all the way to the singles quarterfinals in the 121-player main draw.  Gu also teamed up with Vasileios Iliopoulos to advance to the round of 16 in the 64-team doubles main draw.

For this weekend's tournament, Gu will once again be paired with Iliopoulos in the doubles draw.  Santa Clara's eight-player roster will each see singles and doubles action with the exception of Gu who will not play singles.  In doubles, Arthur Neuhaus will be paired with Jesus Tapiador Barajas; Connor Garnett with Robert Seby; and Santiago Hinojosa with Kamran Khan.

Matches will start at 8:30 a.m. each morning with two flights in singles and doubles.
