STOCKTON, Calif. – Arthur Neuhaus continued his strong doubles play in the fall with two more wins in the opening round at the Pacific Tiger Invitational on Friday.
In the flight A bracket, Neuhaus teamed up with Ryan Ali for the first time this fall to defeat the Saint Mary's doubles team of Matis Bot and Karlo Divkovic, 8-7(5), in the round of 16 before taking down the number-one seed Julien Evrard and Daniel Dudockin of Nevada, 8-7(4). The Bronco duo will play in the semifinals on Saturday morning against Paul Giraud and Nitzan Ricklis of San Francisco.
Neuhaus is now 9-1 in doubles action this fall including winning the Aggie Invitational with Vasileios Iliopoulos back in September.
The Bronco sophomore also added a singles win against host school Pacific's Akram El Sallaly in three-sets, 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-3 to advance to the round of 16 in flight A.
Freshman Matthew Rodriguez earned his first career win beating Dimitrije Vukovic of Holy Names, 5-7, 6-4, 6-1, in the opening round of the B flight.
