
SEATTLE – Santa Clara men's tennis players Mann Shah and Arthur Neuhaus advanced to the semifinals of the consolation bracket at the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championship and will face each other on Sunday.
In Saturday's opening round of 16, Shah defeated Washington's Jack Pulliam 6-2, 6-3 before advancing to the semifinals when Gonzaga's Matthew Hollingworth withdrew.
Neuhaus took care of Stanford's Tomas Kopczynski 6-1, 6-4 in the round of 16 and Pacific's Issa Yoshida 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals to setup Sunday's showdown with his teammate.
Fellow Bronco Guillaume Dalmasso also won his opening round against Adam Torocsik of Washington and was poised to join Shah and Neuhaus in the semis but was upended by Oregon's Joshua Charlton 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) in the quarterfinals.
