PORTLAND, Ore. - Santa Clara men's tennis had its three-match win streak snapped, falling to Portland 7-0 in a West Coast Conference match on Friday afternoon.
The Broncos had a strong performance last week, winning all three matches by a 4-1 score including two conference contests and looked to carry that momentum onto the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center courts but Portland had other plans.
The Pilots (5-8, 1-2 WCC) captured the doubles point on the strength of Julien Penzlin and Nicolas Ocana's play on court two, taking down Guillaume Dalmasso and Santiago Hinojosa 6-2.
Penzlin also clinched the match needing three sets to defeat Arthur Neuhaus 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 2.
Santa Clara (7-7, 2-1 WCC) dropped its first conference match of the season.

The Broncos head to Spokane, Washington to face Gonzaga on Sunday at 10 a.m.
