NOTES
  • Santa Clara will compete at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships this week.
  • Players will compete for singles and doubles titles and for spots in the upcoming ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships (Oct. 21-24 at Stanford) and for qualification to the ITA National Fall Championships (Nov. 2-6, San Diego). 
  • Guillaume Dalmasso and Arthur Neuhaus have already qualified directly into the Super Regionals but the rest of the squad will be competing this week at the regionals in Berkeley, California.   
  • Last week, the Broncos opened the fall season at two tournament - the ITA All-American Championships and the UC Davis Aggies Invitiational - with a split squad. 
  • At the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Guillaume Dalmasso and Arthur Neuhaus played in both the singles and doubles draws. 
    • In singles, both Dalmasso and Neuhaus won their first two matches before losing in the round of 64.
    • In doubles, the Bronco duo won their first round match but fell in the round of 32.  
  • At the Aggie Invitational, five Broncos - Nick Cmager, Santiago Hinojosa, Jack Pulliam, Matthew Rodriguez and Mann Shah - competed.  
    • Over the course of the five day tournament, the Broncos picked up 11 singles and five doubles victories.  
  • The Broncos hired a new assistant coach, Edson Ortiz during the offseason.
