Jakub Cech enters his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Broncos in 2012-13. He graduated from Fresno State University in May 2008, where he was a member of the men's tennis team.
While at Fresno State he played at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles and was named their team MVP in 2006. He was awarded WAC Player of the Year honors in 2006, he earned WAC First Team honors in singles in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2006, he was the ITA Northwest Regional Singles Champion and the ITA West Region Arthur Ashe Award winner for Leadership and Sportsmanship in 2006. He was ranked as high as 26th in that nation in singles in 2007.
