Men's Tennis Drops Tough One to Cal Poly

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's tennis team dropped another tough match to Cal Poly, 5-2. At the No. 1 singles spot, sophomore Jay Wong defeated the Mustangs Andrew Gerst, 6-3, 6-4. Wong was able to bounce back from his first singles loss of the season the day before to Fresno State, and improve his record to 5-1. Junior Kenzo Hirakawa-Wong earned the other point of the day with a singles victory at the No. 3 position over Robert Foy, 6-4, 6-3.

The Broncos return to action next Sunday February 24, at 2:00 p.m. when they host conference rival Gonzaga at the Degheri Tennis Center.
