SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 15 Santa Clara men's water polo team brings it home this weekend with their annual Bronco Rodeo Invitational. The Broncos have a full schedule, with five games in just three days, starting Friday night at 5 pm against Bucknell.

On Sat., Oct. 25 the Broncos are set to play No. 14 Brown at 12 pm and Fresno Pacific at 5:20 pm. To wrap up the weekend on Sun., Oct. 26, the Broncos will rematch against conference rival No. 13 Air Force and finish with a game against No. 12 UC Davis.

To Start off The Rodeo, the Broncos will play the Bucknell Bison. Last season, The Broncos and the Bison matched up in a tough fought battle. The Broncos were able to edge out the Bison with the 14-12 win.

In the cage for the Bison is Menlo Park, Calif. native Keegan Williams. In his senior season, Williams has tallied 117 saves in 11 games. The leading goal scorer this season is freshman Grant Curry whose scored 30 goals, followed closely by Belgrade, Serbia native, junior Stefan Aleksic with 27 goals.

Up next, the Broncos will play East Coast rival Brown. Last year at The Rodeo, the two teams battled all game long. Off of a timeout play, Matt Godar put in the game-winning goal to give the Broncos the 10-9 win.

Four of the Bears have 30 plus goals so far this season. Senior Henry Fox leads with 37, senior Nick Dreaver with 32, junior Will Klein with 30 and sophomore Yahel Murvitz-Lahav with 33.

In their final game on Saturday, the Broncos will play conference rival Fresno Pacific. The Sunbirds are 10-6 and 1-2 and conference so far this season. This will be a chance for both teams to scope out their completion, as the Broncos and the Sunbirds match up again in Fresno, Calif. on Nov. 8.

After falling in Colorado Springs. Colo. this past weekend to Air Force, the Broncos will be looking to redeem themselves. After outscoring the Broncos early in the game, the Falcons came out with the 13-10 win.

Junior Ben Rodgers led the Falcons in that game, scoring five goals. However, senior Jantz Johnson leads the Falcons this season with 36 goals. This will be the final chance for these two teams to match up before the start of the WWPA Conference Championship, starting on Nov. 21.

In their fifth and final game of the weekend, the Broncos will finish with their toughest competition of the weekend against the UC Davis Aggies. This again will be a chance for both teams to test their competition, as they will match up again at the Sullivan Aquatic Center on Nov. 16 for the Broncos Senior Day.

The weekend promises much excitement, so be sure to come out and support your Broncos. Go Broncos!
