DAVIS, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo saw its three-game wining streak come to an end at Saturday's Aggie Roundup to two of the nation's best teams, both of which are undefeated.

The Broncos (4-5) were upended by No. 4 Pacific, 15-3, in the morning and third-ranked Cal, 17-4, in the afternoon at UC Davis.

Tim Reeves tallied a game-high three goals for Pacific (7-0), which had 11 players score en route to remaining perfect on the season.

Mac Carey, Reilley May and Jack Larkin scored for the 20th-ranked Broncos, who were 1-for-7 with the man advantage and missed their lone 5-meter attempt.

Cal (6-0), which has also yet to lose this season, scored six of the first seven goals of the game before Santa Clara cut into the deficit. Second period goals by Will Grant and Jake Rendina cut the lead to 9-3, but the Bears score the next three to grab control of the game.

Safak Simsek and Jordan Hoover each had four goals for the Bears who have yielded more than five goals only once this season.

Dane Estrella and Mac Carey had the other goals for the Broncos, who went scoreless on 10 attempts with the 6-on-5 man advantage.

The Broncos play four games at next week's Mountain Pacific Invitational at Cal before returning home to face UC Davis on Oct. 1.
