DAVIS, Calif. – Reilley May of Santa Clara men's water polo was rewarded for helping lead the team to wins in three of its four games at last weekend's Princeton Invitational.
May was named Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Player of the Week after posting eight goals, six steals and two assists, along with drawing 10 kickouts in the four games.
The junior scored in all four games, including a career-best four goals in Sunday's 12-7 win over Navy, and was an efficient 9-for-11 on shot attempts. He also had two goals and a season-best four kickouts in Saturday's 11-8 win vs. Fordham.
May has started all five games for the Broncos (3-2) and leads the team in goals (9) and kickouts drawn (13.).
Santa Clara is set to play four games at this weekend's Aggie Roundup.
