Men’s Water Polo Falls at No. 3 Stanford in Regular-Season Finale

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Fresh off a victory over top-ranked Cal, No. 3 Stanford knocked off Santa Clara men's water polo, 18-3, on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Blake Parrish scored a game-high three goals for the Cardinal (18-3), winners of 12 straight.

Jackson Kimbell, Tyler Abramson, Reid Chase and Sam Pfeil each scored twice for Stanford, which knocked off Cal, 11-10, on Thursday.

Sam Toriggino, Dane Estrella and Ryan Werner scored for the Broncos (7-15) who open play in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championship on Friday at UC San Diego.

Santa Clara, the No. 7 seed, will play second-seeded UC San Diego at 12:45 p.m. in opening-round action.
