Men's Water Polo Falls to No. 4 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - Tyler Abramson and Bennett Williams scored five times each to help lead Stanford to a 19-6 win over Santa Clara men's water polo on Saturday.

Ryan Werner and Arvin Bahia had two goals apiece, Scott Zurnacian had one goal and one assist for the Broncos (3-2) who had their three-game winning streak snapped.

The Cardinal scored three times with the man advantage in the opening half when they built a 12-1 lead.

Zurnacian and Camden Benson each drew a pair of kickouts Santa Clara went 0-for-3 on the power play in the opening 16 minutes.

NOTES
Sam Toriggino, Patrick Kirk, Reilley May, Dane Estrella, Shane Hughes. Mac Carey and Keaton Fox started the game. That group has started all five games this season.

NEXT UP
The Broncos play their home opener on Wednesday when Cal visits Sullivan Aquatic Center. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
