SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Balazs Kosa posted seven goals and Curtis Jarvis scored twice and had three assists to lead Pepperdine to an efficient 16-7 victory over Santa Clara men's water polo on Sunday.

The seventh-ranked Waves (15-10) started fast and pulled away with an offensive outburst before halftime.

Kosa sparked a run of four straight goals, scoring twice within 40 seconds early in the second quarter. By the time Jarvis scored his second goal the lead had grown to 9-1.

The Waves needed only 14 shots to build that advantage. Santa Clara mustered just one goal on its first 12 attempts was only 1-for-10 on the power play in the game.

Playing without starters Reilley May and Sam Toriggino , the 14th-ranked Broncos (10-13) turned to a number of reserves in their regular-season finale.

Arvin Bahia posted two goals and two assists, and Scott Zurnacian, Jack Larkin and Ryan Werner each scored once on Santa Clara's senior day.

Sean Ferrari had two goals and two assists, and John Claude Marco made 12 saves to earn the win for the Waves.
