Nine From Men’s Water Polo Named WWPA All-Academic - Santa Clara

DAVIS, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo had nine players honored by the Western Water Polo Association for their work in the classroom.

Arvin Bahia, Mac Carey, Shane Hughes, Jack Larkin, Reilley May, Luca Pagano, Sam Toriggino, Ryan Werner, and Scott Zurnacian earned spots on the 2018 WWPA All-Academic team.

Bahia, Carey, Hughes, Larkin, May, Toriggino and Zurnacian were on the 2017 team. May and Toriggino were four-time members of the squad.

To be eligible, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games during 2018 and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Honorees must also be full-time students and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at their institution.
