14 Broncos Earn 2021 WWPA All-Academic Honors

OAKLAND, Calif. - Another successful year in the classroom for Santa Clara men's water polo has culminated in a total of 14 student-athletes being recognized for the academic prowess by earning on a spot on the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) 2021-22 Men's All-Academic Team. 

Billy Barry, Blake D'Souza, Ford Eldredge, Zach Fales, Cody Ferguson, Patrick Guinn, Dominick Kirk, Connor Long, Chase Raisin, Matt Somers, Bennett Stafford, Jake Taylor, Nico Valls and Chase Zamborelli each earned a spot on the prestigous team. 

The Broncos tied with San Diego for the third-most representatives on the team among the nine-team league. Cal Baptist had the most with 16 while LMU had 15 selections.

To be eligible for WWPA All-Academic honors, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of his team's contests during the current season, carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, be classified as a full-time student for all terms of attendance, and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at his institution.
