Garrison Named to WBCA/Kodak All-America District Team

ATLANTA - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association and The Eastman Kodak Company today announced the finalists for the 2001Division I Kodak Women's All-America Basketball Team. WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical districts vote for the team. The Division I Kodak Women's All-America Basketball Team will be announced in St. Louis on March 29. The finalists for the 2001 Division I Kodak Women's All-America Team from District 8 the following:

The 10 players who earn first-team Kodak All-America honors will be candidates for the prestigious Wade Trophy that will be present on Wednesday, March 28, 2001 during Capital One Presents ESPN The Magazine's College Basketball Awards. This show will be aired live on ESPN from 7-9 p.m. ET (6-8 p.m. CT) in Minneapolis, Minn.

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game as an amateur sport for women and girls.
