Junior Kendra Rhea, from nearby Lakeside, scored a game-high 17 points and added six rebounds, leading the Broncos in both categories.

The win gave the Broncos their fifth straight 20-win season.

Senior Becki Ashbaugh finished with nine assists in the game, with her eighth giving her 200 this season, the first Bronco to reach that milestone and only the fourth in WCC history.

The Broncos finished the game shooting 55.8 percent, marking only the fourth time this season the team has surpassed .500 from the field.

Santa Clara was 0-5 in its last five trips to the city of San Diego, including four regular season losses to USD during league play and last year's first-round loss in the WCC Tournament to Portland. Additionally, the Broncos were 0-3 in the two-year-old Jenny Craig Pavilion.

The Broncos' 30-point victory marked only the fourth time this season the team has defeated an opponent by that much. It was the seventh 20-point victory of the year, but only the second over a conference opponent... the first was Gonzaga to open WCC play.

San Diego, who is ranked 27th nationally in three-point field goal percentage, was 0-8 from long range in the game's first 30 minutes a finished 2-12 from behind the arc. USD is now 2-10 when making less than five three-pointers in a game.

Junior Jennifer Bradley gave a solid performance off the bench, hitting a lay-in and a three pointer right after entering the contest to spark the Broncos. She finished with 11 points-all in the first half-and was 4-5 from the field, including 3-4 from the land of plenty. She was also strong defensively, nabbing a game and career-high four steals.
