Annas Named WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara University junior forward Tammy Annas was named the West Coast Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her play in two victories at regional opponent Pacific and Fresno State last week.

Annas, of Enumclaw, Wash., went 13-24 from the field for a .542 percentage, including 4-7 (.571) from three-point range. She made all three of her free throws and averaged 16.5 points per contest. The starting forward also pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Bronco defensive effort. Against Pacific, she posted 16 points and against Fresno State, she scored 17, 10 of which came in the game's first 10 minutes.

The Broncos (7-2) return to the court on Wednesday and will host Temple at 7 p.m. at the Leavey Center. Santa Clara will also host Portland State on Friday, also at 7 p.m., before breaking for the Holidays.
