ALSENO, Italy - The Santa Clara University women's basketball team defeated Italian team Tresinaro Basket 90-45 in its second game of the Broncos' summer European tour.
Senior forward Tammy Annas notched 17 points for the second straight contest, while sophomore guard Quinn Thomas also added 17 to lead the Broncos in their second victory of the week.
The Broncos saw scoring for a variety of sources, with the front court led by senior Courtney Cushing with nine points, while seniors Julie Butler and Kendra Rhea, as well as junior Jennie Rondel, added eight points each. In the backcourt, sophomore Megan Nelson and junior Whitney Sutak registered seven and six points, respectively. Sophomore Kim Butler and senior Jennifer Bradley added four each, while sophomore Kayla Huss scored two.
