Women's Basketball Hosts Three-Point Club

Nov. 5, 2003

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's basketball program is introducing the Three-Point Club, a fun way for the student-athletes and coaches to raise money for the program.

Prior to the start of the season, fans can pledge an amount toward every three-pointer the Broncos make during the regular season. Any pledge amount will be appreciated; $0.50 per three-pointer, $1, $5 or $10... anything you like! Small or large pledges, they all add up over the season and are fully tax deductible.

"This is a fun way for us to raise money for our program and we hope that all of you join the fun and contribute to the Santa Clara Women's Basketball Program," head coach Michelle Bento-Jackson said.

The Broncos, who averaged 6.4 threes per game in 31 contests last year, will host two exhibition contests at Leavey prior to the season opener. Tonight, Santa Clara will host the Bay Area Pro-Am at 7 p.m. The following week, the Broncos will take on Team Concept. That game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. The exhibition contests will not be considered as part of the fundraising program.
