Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson

On getting the win against her alma mater:
"I always say that I have a special place in my heart for Fresno State, but when we play them, its probably the one night out of the year that I don't want them to win. I am really happy and proud of our girls for the way they played tonight, the way we started, and getting a win is always important."

On the rebounding effort:
"It was nice to see our girls hit the boards early and often tonight. It's been a problem area for us and we really spent a lot of time on it in practice, as we do every day. From the beginning of the game tonight, we made it a priority to get on the boards, and I thought we were rebounding with more desire tonight."

On five players scoring in double figures:
"The balance is huge for us. Obviously Chandice and Ashley provide a lot on the perimeter and teams are going to focus a lot on that. That makes it necessary for us to get contribution from the inside, and we have been getting that. We'll be a better team if we can continue to get that."

On the team's ball movement and racking up 20 assists:
"Good ball movement is a great way to put it. We had some possessions where we really made an effort to make the extra pass. I thought we did an excellent job of making the extra pass to get the high-percentage shot tonight."

Guard Chandice Cronk

On balance of scoring:
"We were getting a lot of open looks, I think it helped us that they went into a zone defense. It let us get off some quick shots and get some quick rebounds."

"What is most impressive about the balance of scoring is that we really didn't focus much on offense in practice this past week. Everyone scoring like this is going to be huge for us the rest of the way."

On the team's rebounding success: "We were ready to come out and battle. We got our butts kicked at Stanford and lost at Northridge, so we decided that we needed to make a change and we were really on point in our defense and rebounding tonight."

Guard Tracey Walker

On winning the rebounding battle:
"Throughout this past week we've really been focused on our defense and rebounding. It carried over to tonight's game."

On the team's defensive effort: "Defense is huge in every game. We went back to denying the offense, and really defended the entry passes. We really stayed on them and the steals were there."

On the scoring balance:
"Its tremendous to have this kind of balance, because we're not relying on just one person to do the scoring every night. It shows how much of a team we are, and how we are unselfish and willing to pass the ball around."
