Recap |  Final Stats

Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson

On the game:
"We definitely didn't shoot very well to start the game, and that's why it was so important that our defense was so intense. I thought we did a good job, especially in the first half."

On the balance of scoring:
"Its always nice to have a balanced scoring attack, it just makes us that much tougher to defend."

On the rebounding effort:
"One of our focuses is on rebounding, and Jen, Kasey and Gonny have been real consistent for us, especially in our most recent games. That's what we need in order to be successful, while their scoring is a bonus, we need for them to give us the solid defensive rebounding."

On Ashley Graham's career-high 13 assists:
"Ashley has done a tremendous job. She is a phenomenal shooter, and I've told her, there will be nights that the ball just doesn't drop, and she knows that on nights like tonight she needs to find ways to be a factor on the court, and she did that by getting all of her teammates involved."

On building momentum for the trip to Kansas:
"It gives us some momentum from a winning standpoint, however I was a little bit disappointed tonight as the team needs to work on maintaining the intensity for a full 40 minutes. We're going to have to work on that before we hit the road tomorrow."

Guard Chandice Cronk

On the team bouncing back from the early shooting woes:
"We're going to have off nights and it did take awhile for us to get started, but what got things going for us was the defense. When we started to get steals and make our rotations, that just got the offense going in transition."

On scoring 24 points and averaging over 18 points a game so far: "It's a big credit to the team, Ashley Graham is such a great point guard and she sees everything. My teammates are setting great screens, our post rebounding is working so well, and everyone is just coming up huge right now."

On Ashley's 13 assists opening up the offense:
"I have complete faith in Ashley and know that she will do what she knows best out there. She sees the floor great, gets the ball up the floor, and is such an amazing point guard."

On building momentum for the trip to Kansas:
"These wins are huge, especially with this road trip coming up. K-State and Kansas are pretty good teams, so hopefully we will carry over the momentum from these two wins into this weekend in Kansas."

Forward Jen Gottschalk

On the rebounding effort:
"Getting second chances through rebounding has been something we've worked on in practice, because when we do that we give the offense another chance to score. Ashley Graham is such a great point guard that we know that as long as we get the ball back out to her she will get us going."

On the scoring balance of the post players: "I think our team has a great balance. With Pacific's guards being up on ours, they were able to get the ball to us underneath so we could score. And when we score, the defense has to come in on us, which leaves our guards open outside. I think it's a great strength because then opposing teams don't know what to do in guarding us."
