  • Broncos in the Record Books
Seniors Cronk, Gottschalk and Tracey Walker are no strangers to the Santa Clara career records lists as each are ranked in one or more categories. Last week, Gottschalk entered the all-time rebound average list, tied for 10th, and now solely claims that ranking with 5.8 rebounds per game. She also owns the No. 10 spot in career field goal percentage (.510).

Cronk moved into a new category this week as she is now 10th overall in minutes played (2,903). Cronk's name is also listed in six other categories and patiently waits entering two more categories this season. In the beginning of the year, she became the 17th Bronco to net 1,000 career points and has steadily moved up the list and currently owns the No. 6 spot. Cronk is just three field goals and eight field goal attempts away from taking over tenth place on both lists.

Meanwhile, Walker is 14 assists away from claiming the No. 10 spot on the career assists list.

  • Off The Bench
Although the Broncos starting five have a proven track record, Santa Clara's bench players have made many key contributions to the team's success thus far. In Monday's game alone, Goins came in to register 12 points and five rebounds. She also produced a game-high .833 percentage from the field (5-for-6). Goins also aid in the Broncos victory over Pacific with a .800 field goal percentage (4-for-5).

Freshman Gall has also produced tremendous efforts to help the Broncos. Against Fullerton she scored a season-high 16 points going 5-for-7 from the field (3-for-4 from the arc), and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe. Maggie Goldenberger and Kimee Goeggel have also been a huge support for the Broncos on and off the bench. Both players, along with freshman Kathy Willinsky, played integral roles in the Broncos defense Monday night.

  • Racking Up The Points
With the non-conference season nearly complete, four Broncos have recorded triple-figure points. Seniors Gottschalk, Cronk and Walker, along with Doran's total scoring makes up about one and a half times the team's total points thus far.

Gottschalk reached triple digits on Nov. 25 when she posted a game-high 26 points against Long Beach State. She was the first player to reach 200 points this season (against Northern Arizona, Dec. 29) and currently leads the team with 220 points. Cronk joined Gottschalk on Dec. 8 against Sacramento State when she registered a career-high 33 points. Cronk is currently ranked second on the team with 217 points.

Doran joined the triple digit club as she tallied 14 points against Cal Poly on Dec. 12. The junior guard now has 149 points this season. Walker's five points against Fullerton pushed her over 100 points this season. She is fourth on the team with 103 points. Redshirt junior Sara Majors looks to join the group soon as she has 85 points thus far.

  • Where They Fare...
    In The WCC:
Santa Clara entered the New Year holding onto the No. 1 spot in the WCC with an 8-3 overall record. As a team, the Broncos continue to hold first place in three-point field goal percentage and moved into the No. 1 spot in scoring margin and field goal percentage this week.

Individually, six players are ranked in 10 different statistical categories. Gottschalk and Cronk each moved up one spot in scoring, while Walker and Gottschalk flipped spots this week in steals. Gottschalk also entered the offensive rebounds list at No. 9 and Majors claimed the No. 10 spot in defensive rebounds this week. Cronk also moved into the top 10 in free throw percentage.

  • SCU At Home
The Broncos hold an all-time mark of 263-140 (.653) in games held at the Leavey Center, dating back to the Toso Pavilion days in 1979-80. Since going 6-8 at home in the 1995-96 season, the Broncos have only had one sub-.500 season at home since then, when the injury-ravaged 2003-04 team went 3-13. This season the Broncos are 5-1 at home and last year's Broncos went 7-7 at the Leavey Center. Three times in program history SCU has posted unblemished marks at home, going 17-0 in 1990-91, 15-0 in 1997-98, and 12-0 in 2001-02.
