Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson:
On tonight's game:
"Tonight we gave great effort throughout the game. We remained focused even with our backs against the wall. I'm proud of my team for that focus they kept as Bakersfield took the lead."
On the start of conference play:
"As a team we have had a lot of ups and downs in the preseason. But with that said, we did make a lot of strides. But we still need to work on consistency in many key aspects of our game, including our half court defense. We made a lot of strides in the game against Fullerton and we have great competition ahead of us in the conference portion of our schedule."
On Bakersfield:
"We knew they were going to present us with a lot of problems. They have a lot of players on the court that hurt our offensive play."
On Chandice Cronk's performance in the final minutes of the game:
"She made a lot of big shots tonight. Whatever we call her to do, she does a good job of doing it. She really helped to get us going in the end."
On Jen Gottschalk's first half game:
"Jen had a great first half for us. She brought a lot of energy to the game in the first half. Unfortunately in the second half she fell into some foul trouble, but she remained focused and from wherever she was, on the court or on the bench, she kept the energy and intensity going."
