Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson:

On Chandice Cronk's Injury:
"It was tough the last 24 hours. We got the news about Chandice late yesterday afternoon after practice. Our hearts go out to her. What we talked to the team a lot about, and what they did a good job of, is just bouncing back. They have been resilient all year and I thought that they displayed that again tonight."

On Stanford's perimeter play:
"Our game plan going in was to force them to shoot from out and I thought our players did a good job of executing that. But, we had to make some adjustments because they got hot on the perimeter. It seemed like nobody was missing."

On Santa Clara's tenaciousness in the second half:
"This group is not going to quit. It's not just the points up on the scoreboard. We talk about it every day; give it your all for 40 minutes and let's see what the outcome is."

On tonight's game:
"You never play a game just to be happy to be there. You play to win but tonight it was a character check for our basketball team. Recovering from the devastation that we heard yesterday in regards to Chandice's situation and in such a short turn around that was what I was most proud of this team tonight. They stuck together and they fought and they played to the very end. I was confident going into the game and I knew their attitudes would be positive and the fact that they did that for 40 minutes, it says a lot about our basketball team."

On Maggie Goldenberger and the bench players support:
"We are nine players strong right now. People are constantly asking how we are going to make up for Chandice. They are huge shoes to fill and it's not going to be one person. We need the contributions and the production from the Claires, Maggies and Nicoles. Tonight Maggie gave us a great spark in the beginning of the game and really got us going offensively. We need everyone to contribute right now to make up for the loss."

Senior Tracey Walker

On the team's performance:
"It showed us that we should not lose another game in our conference because we know that were right there with the No. 6 team in the nation and we did well against them."

On her game-leading performance tonight:
"Stanford is the No. 6 team and we had nothing to lose. I might as well give it my all from the beginning to the end. That's what I tried to do."
