Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson

On Sara Majors' game-leading performance:
"Sara played with a lot of energy today and a lot of intensity. Everything that Sara gave us was based off her energy. She was flying into the boards with no one around her and was getting easy layups. It's just her work ethic and that's what makes Sara so special. She just goes and goes and she was a big part of our success today."

On the Broncos' defense:
"Today was a challenge for our players because I was not happy with our defensive performance against Pepperdine. It is something that we talk about all year. Our half court defense has got to be efficient and it's something we relaxed in the last three games. I am so proud of their effort today. To hold a team to 28% is something to really be proud of."

On today's game:
"Our defensive effort took LMU out of their rhythm on the offensive end. We didn't get in sync on the offensive end in the first half either but, in the second half, we took care of the ball much better and got better looks. I knew it was going to go down to the wire. It was one of those games that would go back and forth in the second half. We were down four or five points but our team just kept fighting and came from behind once again to finish a ballgame off."

On the sweep of the week's games:
"The two wins this week were important for our team's morale. Not having a great performance against Saint Mary's and adjusting to our situation, these two ball games were key for us from a conference standpoint, from a team morale standpoint and really just knowing and believing that we can win."

On the key to winning in the last week on the road:
"As always our defense is going to win games for us and we have a great week of practice. There are some things we have to polish up on but we know that every single game left in this conference is going to go down to the wire."

On the win on Alumni Day:
"It was awesome. There were alumni in the house today that have sweated a lot on this court and it's all about pride and tradition and keeping that going with each and every class."

On Jen Gottschalk and the post players performance:
"Jen did whatever she could possibly do to help this team win today. Our post players as a whole - Claire, Maggie, Jen - had a tough defensive assignment today. There was a lot more moving around than they typically do and I think their play was key in our half court defense."
