SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's basketball program announced its dates for its summer basketball camps, which will be held at the Leavey Center on the campus of Santa Clara University. This June, SCU will offer the Santa Clara Girls' Basketball Elite Camp from June 22-24, the 2009 Instructional Camp from June 22-25, and the Santa Clara Girls' Basketball Summer Classic from June 26-28.

Santa Clara Girls' Basketball Elite Camp
Dates: June 22-24, 2009
Ages: High School
Fee: $500
Camp Description: Come to the Santa Clara University Girls' Basketball Elite Camp and learn what the SCU Women's Basketball Team goes through to prepare for a NCAA Division I Season. Camp will include:

  • Division I college basketball style practices
  • Learn strength & conditioning techniques designed specifically for basketball players by Santa Clara's Head Strength Coach Joe Siara
  • Scouting reports & personalized film sessions with Santa Clara Coaches
  • Camp Gear: Nike Sports Pack to include jersey, notebook, and bag
  • Plus individual basketball instruction from Santa Clara University Women's Basketball Head Coach, Jennifer Mountain

    2009 Instructional Camp
    Dates:     June 22-25, 2009
    Ages: K-8th grade
    Little Bronco Fees: Half day: morning session - $150
    Day Camper Fees: $350 (includes lunch)
    Overnight Camper Fees: $450 (includes breakfast, lunch & dinner)
    Camp Description: The instructional camp is designed for ages 5-13 to teach the fundamental skills of basketball. Proper instruction along with team and individual competitions are what make the camp experience a benefit to all players. No matter what level a player is, it is important to develop players with the proper fundamental skills in a positive and enjoyable setting. The instructional camp staff includes Head Coach Jennifer Mountain, the Bronco Women basketball players and assistant coaches. The camp staff brings knowledge of the game from youth to professional levels.

    Santa Clara Girls' Basketball Summer Classic
    Dates:     June 26-28, 2009
    Fees: $300/team (team must have a min. of 8 players and their coach present)
    Ages: High School
    Camp Description: We are very excited to announce the 1st Annual Santa Clara Summer Classic. The Summer Classic is a High School Girls' Basketball Team Tournament during the summer. Tell all your friends! The Team Tournament Registration includes:

  • Guaranteed 4 games
  • Junior Varsity & Varsity Divisions
  • Daily Individual Skill Sessions
