"Meet the Broncos's Basketball Teams Sportoberfest" is set for the Sun., Oct. 19 during the Santa Clara women's and men's soccer doubleheader at Buck Shaw Stadium.
The Santa Clara men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced to the fans at half-time of the women's soccer match vs. San Francisco (1 pm start) and then sign autographs and pose for pictures at the entrance of Buck Shaw Stadium. The men's soccer team will play San Diego following the women's match (approximately 3 pm).
The special day will include free raffles of men's and women's basketball balls and gear during both the men's and women's soccer games. In addition, all fans will receive a coupon for half-price men's and women's basketball season tickets that will be good for purchase through Fri., Oct. 24 at the ticket office at the Leavey Center.
The men's basketball team plays CSU Monterey Bay in an exhibition at the Leavey Center on Fri., Nov. 7 at 7 pm and then opens the regular season at home on Fri., Nov. 14 at 7 pm vs. CSU East Bay. The women play an exhibition on Tues., Nov. 11 vs. the Melbourne Roos at 7 pm. They open the regular season at Cal State Fullerton on Fri., Nov. 14 at 7 pm before returning home to open the home schedule vs. Minnesota on Sun., Nov. 16 at 2 pm.
