SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's basketball program, in conjunction with the University of San Francisco women's basketball team, is raising money to help the victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake.

Donations will be accepted at the Leavey Center during the USF-Santa Clara women's basketball game Saturday, January 23 at 2 p.m. Checks can also be made out to Santa Clara Athletics and mailed directly to the SCU Women's Basketball Office/Haiti Relief Effort: The Leavey Center, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA, 95053.

All money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross and designated for the Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

"It is our mission here at Santa Clara to serve and we're going to try and play our part," said SCU Women's Basketball Head Coach Jennifer Mountain. "We are so fortunate and have so much. It puts us in a position to give back. The game with USF Saturday is a great opportunity for both programs and our supporters to reach out and to help."
