Gipson, a redshirt junior from Fresno, is one of the premier post players in the west region. Gipson led the WCC in rebounding a year ago, clearing 307 boards and posting 19 double-doubles (points-rebounds). She enters the 2009-10 season as the focal point of a Broncos' team which has added nine new players to its roster.

Mountain and her coaching staff have brought-in Colorado's 5A `Player of the Year' Meagan Fulps and Anaheim's Telisha Anderson to play along-side sophomore guard Alyssa Shoji. As a true-freshman starter Shoji made 39 three-pointers in 2008-09.

"I am really proud of the class we've brought in," said Mountain in a recent interview. "We're much better than we were last year. We're different. I think we will be quicker, more athletic. Now we have an inside-outside game, so people won't be able to hone in on Lena (Gipson). That should open up things, allowing her to do a bit more."

Mountain and the Broncos play a top-tier national schedule, opening the season at Iowa, Saturday, November 14, followed by games against UCLA or Illinois State, then Oregon and Utah. SCU will also travel and play at Minnesota and West Virginia.

Appearing in the first part of the hour will be Mountain, Gipson, USF women's basketball head Coach Tanya Haave and USF sophomore guard Rheina Ale.

The men's basketball portion of the show will follow with LMU head coach Max Good, Lions' sophomore forward Kevin Young, along with Pepperdine head coach Tom Asbury and Waves' junior forward Mychel Thompson.
