Santa Clara Women's Basketball Signs Two Incoming Recruits

Nov. 13, 2009

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University's women's basketball Head Coach Jennifer Mountain has received commitments from two local guards who will attend the University and be part of the Broncos' team in 2010-11. The recruits - Ricki Radanovich (Carondelet High School/Concord) and Iman Scott (Archbishop Mitty High School/San Jose) - play for two of the top prep programs in Northern California.

"Not only are they terrific basketball players but they are exceptional students," said Mountain. "Both will make immediate contributions on the court and possess qualities that will allow them to excel as student-athletes here at Santa Clara. They are great people who will embrace the mission of our school and represent Santa Clara in a very positive manner."

Radanovich helped Carondelet finish 29-4 last season and advance to the California Division II title game at Arco Arena. The 5-foot-10 senior has demonstrated the ability to shoot with range, making 58 three-pointers a year ago. Radanovich averaged 12.3 points per game in 2008-09 for Carondelet Head Coach Margaret Gartner, who has developed a number of Division I players.

Scott is described by ESPN.com as `long and athletic, aggressive and strong with the basketball.' Mountain is excited about adding a player with her athleticism. Scott is one of four Archbishop Mitty players from its class of 2010 who have signed with Division I schools.
