SANTA CLARA, Calif. -
The Santa Clara University women's basketball team wrapped up the 2010-11 season by finishing tied for fourth in the West Coast Conference standings and defeating local rival the University of San Francisco in the WCC tournament. The Broncos were 6-6 on their home court at the Leavey Center, including going 4-3 versus the WCC.

"We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who supported us throughout the season! They created such an energy that we fed off of at home in Leavey," said Santa Clara head coach Jennifer Mountain. "It helped to generate a fun competitive atmosphere that was a huge part of our success!"

Santa Clara had three players earn All-WCC honors, with record-setting senior forward Lena Gipson (Hanford, Calif./San Joaquin Memorial HS) garnering first-team honors for the second straight season. True freshman guard Ricki Radanovich (Diablo, Calif./Carondelet HS) emerged as one of the league's best young players, earning a spot on the All-Freshman Team. High-scoring sophomore guard Meagan Fulps (Littleton, Colo./Highlands Ranch HS) was tabbed as a WCC Honorable Mention pick.

Mountain and her coaching staff will welcome in a stellar recruiting class for 2011-12. In November, the Broncos announced the signing of four prep standouts, including two Bay Area stars. ESPN ranked the class No. 56 nationally.
