SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off a huge win to open the conference season, Santa Clara women's basketball travels up the road to play at San Francisco Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Broncos opened West Coast Conference action with a 64-63 victory over BYU in Leavey on Thursday. It was the first win for Santa Clara over the Cougars since 1998.

Santa Clara is 60-36 all-time vs. San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1964-65. Last year the Broncos took both meetings against the Dons.

THE BRONCOS

THE DONS
San Francisco (7-5, 1-0 WCC) is being outscored on the season 68.8-66.7 and outrebounded 39.6-38.9 The Dons are shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Rachel Howard leads the team with 14.3 ppg and is tied for the team-lead with 5.4 rpg. Kalyn Simon is shooting a team-high 53.8 percent from the floor and 52.9 percent from 3-point land while knocking down 18 3-pointers to lead the Dons. She is scoring 10.7 ppg to go with 3.5 rpg.

Anna Seilund scores 10.1 ppg and leads the way with 3.1 apg and 1.8 spg. Hashima Carothers is tied with Howard with 5.4 rpg and is scoring 7.0 ppg.
