Pepperdine Game Notes
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Currently sitting in a tie for fourth place in the West Coast Conference standings, Santa Clara women's basketball begins a three-game road swing Thursday at Pepperdine at 7 p.m.
Last week the Broncos posted convincing wins over San Francisco and Pacific to close out a four-game homestand.
The Broncos are 38-35 all-time vs. Pepperdine with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. Earlier this year Santa Clara beat the Waves 61-40 in Leavey for the fifth win in a row in the series.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (12-13, 7-7 WCC) has won three of its last four games with all the victories by double-digits and the lone loss by one point.
The Broncos are scoring 62.3 points per game while shooting 38.7 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from beyond the arc. They have a plus-2.3 rebound differential and are forcing 17.0 turnovers per game.
Emily Wolph leads the WCC with 61 3-pointers made and is third in the conference with an 85.6 percent mark from the free throw line. She leads Santa Clara with 13.0 ppg, 3.9 assists per game, 77 free throws made, and 90 free throws attempted.
Morgan McGwire leads the team with 8.1 rpg, good for No. 3 in the league. She is also third in the conference with 1.4 blocks per game while placing third on the Broncos with 10.8 ppg. Lori Parkinson is second on the team with 12.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg. She leads Santa Clara with 1.8 spg. Marie Bertholdt is scoring 10.2 ppg and grabbing 5.3 rpg.
THE WAVES
Pepperdine (7-18, 5-9 WCC) has lost seven of nine but picked up a win against San Diego at home on Saturday. The Waves are just one of two teams to take down Gonzaga in conference play this season.
As a team Pepperdine is scoring 60.3 ppg while shooting 36.2 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from beyond the arc. The Waves have a minus-5.1 rebound differential and are forcing 14.0 tpg.
Yasmine Robinson-Bacote is fifth in the conference with 15.2 ppg and third with 9.0 rpg. Sydney Bordonaro leads Pepperdine with 42 3-pointers made and is scoring 9.3 ppg. Barbara Sitanggan averages a team-best 3.9 apg to go with 5.2 ppg. Megan House is second in the league with 1.8 bpg and scores 5.0 ppg. Allie Green is second on the team with 13.6 ppg and 31 3-pointers made. She adds 4.7 rpg as well.
