Homestand Concludes for Women's Basketball Sunday with Menlo

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball concludes its three-game homestand Sunday at 2 p.m. against Menlo College, a Division III program.

Last week the Broncos fell to San Jose State and No. 24 Cal.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first regular season meeting between the two programs.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (2-5) is scoring 54.1 points per game on 36.2-percent shooting from the floor. The Broncos are grabbing 29.6 rebounds per game and forcing 17.7 turnovers per game.

Morgan McGwire leads the team in scoring (10.3 ppg), rebounds (6.9 pg), steals (2.7), and blocks (1.3). Ashlyn Herlihy has knocked down a team-high eight from downtown and is scoring 9.6 ppg while also lead the Broncos with a 46.0-percent mark from the field. Kyla Martin has a team-high 5.0 assists per game and is scoring 9.4 ppg. Taylor Berry adds 8.0 ppg and 5.9 rpg.

THE OAKS
Menlo (9-0) is scoring 86.1 ppg while allowing 68.6. The Oaks shoot 50.4-percent from the field and 41.7-percent from behind the 3-point line. They have a plus-7.3 rebound differential while forcing 22.3 tpg.

Destinee Bowie and Celina Pagan pace Menlo on offense with 17.9 and 17.3 ppg respectively. Bowie leads the team with a 62.8-percent mark from the floor and 8.6 rpg. Pagan is shooting 50-percent from beyond the arc and is second on the team with 18 made 3-pointers. Ashlyn Monk leads the team in threes with 22 and is scoring 10.2 ppg.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
