Senior Day Matchup with Saint Mary's Set for Saturday for Women's Basketball

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball concludes the regular season Saturday at home against Saint Mary's at 2 p.m. Prior to the game, the Broncos will honor their three seniors: Taylor Berry, Kyla Martin, and Morgan McGwire.

On Thursday, the Broncos fell at LMU 64-45 after a difficult second half.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 35-39 all-time against Saint Mary's with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. Earlier this year the Gaels picked up a win in Moraga.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (9-19, 5-12 WCC) heads into the final game of the regular season with the WCC's top defense. The Broncos allow 57.5 points per game while forcing 16.0 turnovers per game and collecting 8.9 steals per game.

Morgan McGwire leads the team in scoring with 10.0 ppg and is second in the conference with 9.4 rebounds per game and 1.9 blocks per game. She is fifth in the league with 2.2 steals per game. Kyla Martin is fifth in the conference with 4.2 assits per game and scores 8.3 ppg. Ashlyn Herlihy scores 8.4 ppg with 5.0 rpg as well.

THE GAELS
Saint Mary's (19-9, 12-5 WCC) is scoring 71.1 ppg on a conference-best 47.7-percent shooting from the field and 32.7-percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Megan McKay leads the team with 15.5 ppg on a team-high 61.0-percent mark from the field and adds 7.4 rpg. Sydney Raggio leads the Gels with 8.8 rpg and scores 13.9ppg. Stella Beck scores 15.0 ppg and adds 5.9 rpg.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
