SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball begins an eight-day trip to Costa Rica on Wednesday.

The Broncos will arrive in Costa Rica Thursday and play their first game against the Costa Rica National team at 5:30 p.m. Pacific. The two teams will play again the next day at the same time with the third and final game for Santa Clara coming Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Pacific against Coronado.

Between games, the Broncos will tour the city of San Jose and work with the Special Olympics in the town. They will also have the opportunity to go zip-lining and take a Catamaran tour.

The tour comes to a close Aug. 8.

It will be the first time in a Santa Clara uniform for newcomers Lindsey VanAllen, Lexie Pritchard, and Tia Hay as well as some much needed game action for Lauren Yearwood, Erica Meyer, and Joeseta Fatuesi who all sat out last year due to NCAA transfer rules.
