SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball hosts Bay Area rival Saint Mary's Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Broncos nearly mounted another big comeback Thursday night at home, but fell to Pacific 74-70.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 35-40 all-time against Saint Mary's with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. The Gaels took both meetings last season and have won six in a row in the series.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (9-8, 2-4 WCC) is allowing 62.6 points per game, third in the WCC, while scoring 60.3 ppg on 39.5-percent shooting from the field. The Bronco are third in the conference allowing 62.6 ppg and force 15.9 turnovers per game while blocking a league-high 4.5 shots per game.

Tia Hay's 15.8 ppg are sixth in the conference and she leads Santa Clara with 3.3 assists per game, 2.2 steals per game, and 28 3-pointers made. Ashlyn Herlihy is second in scoring (10.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 pg) with Lauren Yearwood's 7.4 rpg leading the team. Yearwood is tied for 16th in the country with 2.5 bpg and adds 6.1 ppg.

THE GAELS
Saint Mary's (10-7, 3-3 WCC) is scoring 74.8 ppg as a team on 47.8-percent shooting from the field and 38.1-percent from beyond the arc, all tops in the conference.

Sydney Raggio's 12.3 ppg leads a trio of double-figure scorers. Megan McKay (11.8) and Sam Simons (10.7) are the other two. With Emily Codding adding 9.9 and Jasmine Forcadilla scoring 9.1. Raggio also leads the team with 8.1 rpg while Madeline Holland has a team-high 3.9 apg.

Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
