SANTA CLARA, Calif. – With half of the conference season over, Santa Clara women's basketball hosts San Francisco in Leavey Center Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Broncos topped Portland Thursday but fell at No. 18 Gonzaga to wrap-up the first half of the West Coast Conference slate.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 62-39 all-time against San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1964-65. The Broncos picked up a 71-66 overtime win on the Hilltop earlier this season.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (10-10, 3-6 WCC) is third in the WCC in defense, allowing 64.6 points per game and forcing 15.5 turnovers per game while picking up 8.2 steals per game. Offensively, the Broncos score 60.8 ppg on 40.0-percent shooting.

Tia Hay leads the team with 15.6 ppg, 3.4 assists per game, 2.2 spg, and 32 3-pointers made. Ashlyn Herlihy is second in both scoring (10.6) and rebounds (6.9 pg) while leading in minutes played and is the only player to have started all 20 games. Lauren Yearwood is 17th nationally with 2.5 blocks per game and leads the Broncos with 7.0 rpg.

THE DONS
San Francisco (5-15, 1-8 WCC) has lost eight in a row, with the last win coming in the conference-opener Dec. 29 at home against San Diego. The Dons allow a league-high 73.4 ppg while scoring 68.2 on 44.2-percent shooting.

Shannon Powell is third in the WCC with 16.4 ppg and leads San Francisco with 5.9 rpg, 4.4 apg, and 2.1 spg. Julia Nielacna is second in scoring with 10.8 ppg and Lucija Kostic is second with 5.1 rpg. Kia Vaalavirta leads the Dons with 24 3-pointers made.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
