Saturday Senior Day Matchup with Portland Set for Women's Basketball

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball concludes its regular season home slate with Senior Day against Portland Saturday at 2 p.m. The Broncos will honor Dru Toleafoa, Andraya Flor, and Charise Holloway in a pregame ceremony.

The Broncos dropped a game to No. 15 Gonzaga Thursday night at home.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 44-30 all-time against Portland with the first meeting coming in 1986-87. The Broncos won on the road in the first meeting of the season.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (11-15, 4-11 WCC) is allowing 66.6 points per game while scoring 62.2 on 40.4-percent shooting from the field. The Broncos force 14.8 turnovers per game while picking up 8.0 steals per game.

Tia Hay's 15.2 ppg are eighth in the WCC and her 2.0 steals per game are fifth. She also leads Santa Clara with 3.9 assists per game and 35 3-pointers made. Ashlyn Herlihy is sixth in the conference with 7.5 rebounds per game and second on the team with 11.4 ppg. Lauren Yearwood is 12th in the country with 2.7 blocks per game while adding 6.5 rpg and 6.1 ppg.

THE PILOTS
Portland (12-14, 4-11 WCC) has won two in a row for the first time since Dec. 7 and 9. The Pilots are scoring 74.7 ppg and allowing 75.4. They shoot 42.0-percent from the field and 32.0-percent from downtown.

Julie Spencer leads the team with 15.3 ppg and 7.7 rpg. Darian Slaga scores 14.9 ppg to go with 4.0 rpg and Haylee Andrews leads the team with 4.0 apg. Andrews also scores 12.0 ppg. Maddie Muhlheim's 64 3-pointers are tops on the roster and she adds 10.0 ppg as well.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
