
WCC RELEASE | 2019-20 SCHEDULE
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball senior guard Tia Hay was named Preseason All-West Coast Conference as voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. As a team, the Broncos were picked to finish fifth.
Hay, a junior college transfer, had a big first year with the Broncos. She led the team with 15.5 points per game, 32.3 minutes per game, 4.2 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and an 81.5-percent mark from the free throw line.
A 2019 Second Team All-WCC selections, she was sixth in the league in points per game and fifth in assists per game. Her free throw shooting ranked fourth and her steals fifth.
Hay registered double-figures in 24 of 31 games and scored 20-plus 10 times. She scored 30 at LMU on January 12 and had 13 assists, tied for fourth most in program history, against Portland February 23.
Santa Clara opens the season November 5 against UC Santa Cruz in Leavey Center.
