SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara beach volleyball is set to play the second of three matches for the season against West Coast Conference foe Saint Mary's. The Broncos travel to Moraga, California to face the Gaels for a 3 p.m. first serve on Tuesday at Moraga Commons.

Santa Clara (1-4) played its last regular season match against the Gaels (5-1) on March 3 as part of opening weekend at the Stanford Bay Area Kickoff. Erin Reineking/Michelle Gajdka swept Jennifer Laird/Morgan Kendrick at No. 5 for Santa Clara's lone dual win of the contest. The Broncos downed West Valley College in an exhibition match last Tuesday.

Reineking and Gajdka are the team's winningest pair with a 3-2 overall record and 7-4 set record. Tatiana San Juan/Allison Kantor (No. 4) are 3-2 overall and 7-5 in sets. The Broncos and Gaels will meet up for a third time on April 11 at the Santa Clara Beach Volleyball Courts.

THE GAELS

Saint Mary's, which received votes in the March 12 AVCA Coaches and Dig Magazine Collegiate Beach Volleyball Polls, enters the day on a three-match winning streak and has not played since facing Santa Clara at Stanford. The Gaels have wins over Pacific, Cal, Sacramento State, San Francisco and the Broncos this season. Their lone loss came against Stanford on March 3.

Emily Bible/Lindsey Knudsen are a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 and 2-1 at No. 2. Morgan Hughes/Payton Rund are 2-1 at No. 1 and 3-0 at No. 2.
