In addition to tournament host Cal Poly, the field of teams scheduled to compete in the tournament includes Fresno State, Cal State San Marcos, Cal State Bakersfield, Long Beach State, Sacramento State, UC Riverside, Southern Utah, Idaho State, Montana State, Seattle, Northern Arizona, Boise State and Weber State.

SCU junior Tamara Surtees, a native of Waikoloa, Hawaii, is coming off a tournament win at the 2010 SCU Colby Invitational last week with a final-round 74 at Silver Creek Country Club in San Jose. It was the first-ever collegiate victory for Surtees, who was named an All-West Coast Conference player as a sophomore.

Close friend and SCU teammate, Miki Ueoka, finished in a tie for the tournament lead after regulation play and the two went into a playoff – won by Surtees on the third sudden-death hole.

Her tournament victory came on the heels of an outstanding event in Nipomo, Calif. earlier in the month, where Surtees finished 6th overall at Cal Poly's 2010 Firestone Grill Invitational.

The Broncos are off to a fast start to their 2010-11 season, finishing second as a team in both the Colby Invitational and the Firestone Grill Invitational during the month of October.
