FRESNO, Calif. – The Santa Clara University women's golf team tied for fifth in a 16-team field at the Fresno State Lexus Classic at Copper River Country Club. Bronco senior Miki Ueoka placed third individually among 84 players. Ueoka posted rounds of 69-77-75 to finish 5-over par and just five shots behind the tournament leader.
Freshman Taylor Camany was terrific for SCU in final round play Tuesday, paring 13-straight holes to finish even on the day at 72. The No. 120 Broncos out played tournament host and No. 103 Fresno State, No. 104 Kansas State, and No. 107 UTEP.
UC Davis - the top-ranked team entering the event at No. 18 nationally - won the tournament for the second straight year.
